
Whatsapp Data will be deleted if backup is not taken
WhatsApp has said on its official website that users should save a backup of their data on Google Drive before November 12, 2018. If Manually Backup of your data is not taken, then after this date their data will be deleted. Apart from this, users who have not taken a backup for the last one year have been given time till October 30. If even after this the user has not backed up the data, then their data or Chat History will be automatically deleted.
Why is it important to back up ?
After WhatsApp and Google partnership from November 12, users will be given free space for data backup in Google Drive. Users have to manually backup one year old data to get free WhatsApp storage on Google Drive.
Your chat history is saved for taking backup. So that whenever you reinstall WhatsApp later or install it in another phone, your messages and media will come back to your phone memory.How to take Backup Manually ?
First of all open WhatsApp. Then click on Menu. After that go to Settings and click on Chat. There you will get the option of backup on Chat. Click on that. After clicking on backup it will take some time to save the data.
How to take Backup on Google Drive?
- First of all open your WhatsApp. Then going to the menu, click on Settings. After that go to Chat Option and click on Chat Backup.
- Then select "Backup to Google Drive". If you want to back up manually, click on "Only when I tap "Backup". Or you can set it to Daily, Weekly or Monthly backup.
- After this you have to click on Account. After this, you have to select your Gmail ID and click on Allow. In which you have a backup save.
- Now you have to select the network on which you want to take backup. In which you will get the option of Wifi and Cellular. Keep in mind that if you back up on Cellular Network, then your extra data will be spent.
- After that you have to click on the Backup button.
- Here you also get the option of "Include Video" so that you can take backup of your video as well.
