How to Free Hard Disk Space on Windows

If your Laptop or Desktop gets C-Drive Automatically Full again and again, and there is less space in your Hard Disk, then here I will tell you 4 ways by which you can delete your important data without deleting anything on C Drive or Hard Drive on Windows. Will be able to free up space. This will work on Windows 7, 8, and 10 and even if you have more space in Disk Space, you are still advised to do these procedures from time to time.

1. Clean Cache

First of all you have to go to your computer and click on "This PC". After that open the folder of Windows by going to C-Drive, then search for the folder named Software Distribution. Open the folder and select all the files and delete them by right click. Then empty the Recycle Bin as well.

2. Disk Cleanup

First go to the Search Bar or press Windows Key + S. And type "Disk Cleanup", and click on Disk Cleanup's icon from the search result. Here you will get the option to select Disk. Select the drive you want to clean, and click Ok. After this, you will have a Program Open in which some folders will be already selected, the rest you will have to manually select such as Temporary Files, Thumbnails, Downloaded Program Files, Temporary Internet Files, Setup Log Files, Recycle Bin, Offline Webpages and Delivery Optimization Files . Then click on Ok Button and then on Delete Files button. This process will take some time. After it is completed, do this process once again.

3. Delete Large Files

To locate Large Files (files larger than 128 MB) use the "size:gigantic" command in Windows. For this, open the C-Drive by going to My Computer and typing size:gigantic in it by clicking in the Search Box given in the Right Corner. It takes some time. After this all the large files will appear in front of you. In this you can see which file has taken up so much space. And whether it needs to be kept in the system or not. You can cover a lot of space by deleting unnecessary files from here.

4. Increase Hard Disk Size

If you have Disk Full problem even after using the above 3 methods, then you can increase the size of your Hard Disk by using Disk Management or EaseUS Partition Master Software. For this, you can remove space from another Hard Disk (which has more space) and merge it with the lesser Hard Disk. How to Increase Drive Partition Size Without Format PC or Laptop
